d'Ouhb
The Mistress of Mists, Scalding Seductress (Deception/allure/manipulation; domains Water/Evil/Charm/Trickery)
Ethereal Enchantress, Mistress of Mists, Scalding Seductress
d’Ouhb, the goddess of the Plane of Steam, embodies the ethereal beauty and deceptive allure of steam. With a thick, voluptuous form, she exudes an otherworldly charm that masks her malevolent intent. d’Ouhb’s dominion over steam represents both the nurturing warmth and the scalding danger hidden within the misty vapors, luring in followers with promises of power and protection while subtly twisting their wills to her own dark purposes. However, for several generations now, d’Ouhb has fallen silent, her influence waning and her once-devoted followers left in a state of uncertainty.
History
d’Ouhb’s origins are not known of Erôth. Legends tell of her emergence from the first primordial steam vents, a being of captivating beauty with a heart as cold as the deepest ocean. d’Ouhb’s rise to power involved the manipulation of both mortals and gods, using her allure to ensnare those who dared to seek her favor.
If this story is true, then over centuries, d’Ouhb has influenced countless events, often through subtle manipulation and deception. She thrives on the chaos and suffering of those who fall under her spell, finding delight in the misery of others. Her followers, enchanted by her ethereal beauty and the promise of protection and power, serve her with unwavering devotion, often unaware of the true cost of their allegiance.
However, in recent generations, d’Ouhb’s voice has faded, and her presence has diminished. Her once-flourishing temples have fallen into disrepair, and her followers struggle to maintain their faith amidst her seeming disappearance. Scholars and devotees debate the reasons for her silence, with some believing she has withdrawn to plot her return, while others fear she has been vanquished or fallen into a deep slumber.
Dogma
d’Ouhb teaches her followers to embrace the dual nature of steam: its nurturing warmth and its destructive potential. She encourages the use of charm and allure to achieve one’s goals, regardless of the consequences. Deception, manipulation, and the pursuit of personal gain are central to her teachings, with an emphasis on the transient and ever-changing nature of existence. Despite her silence, her dogma still holds sway over those who seek her elusive favor.

Campaign Updates
Her mark is cut into stone southwest of Haudh-Gwenn. Behind the Crack, past the cage-hall the slavers were using, a pillared Mól chamber stands with a fountain running something closer to syrup than water, and five planar sigils set about it: Water, Steam, Salt, Ice, Slime. Two of them are named: hers, and Luhthar’s beside it (S1E10).
Whoever cut them worked a long time ago, and worked in a place nobody has kept up since.
