The Chain Reactor, Lord of Consequence

Drægon Kitzeuhn is perhaps the least likely candidate among the gods of Aurôrum to have earned divinity. In his mortal life, he was not known for anything particularly remarkable. A fine friend, neighbor, and husband, Drægon’s story should have ended with a simple tombstone. However, his one act of kindness (giving a piece of fruit to a stranger) set off a chain reaction that ultimately led to his ascension as the god of determinism and consequence.

History

In his time as a mortal, Drægon was an ordinary man, known and loved by his community for his kindness and reliability. His life seemed destined for quiet obscurity until a chance encounter with a stranger changed everything. This stranger, down on their luck, received a piece of fruit from Drægon, an act of generosity that would ripple through history. Unbeknownst to Drægon, the stranger was a commander in the early Peredhel military. Shortly after their meeting, the commander was ambushed and nearly killed by an arrow, which was deflected by the fruit’s pit, saving his life.

The commander went on to lead great campaigns, shaping the future of his nation, but Drægon never knew of his pivotal role in these events. He lived out his life peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, dying a normal death. However, the extraordinary impact of his small act of kindness was revealed in the afterlife. The convergence of events and the influx of souls on the day of his death catapulted Drægon’s soul from the Plane of Air to the Plane of Lightning, where he became a god.
