Drozom the Frozen
The Ice Tyrant the Draazstone hobgoblins pray to (Conquest/Competition/Ferocity; domains Chaos/Darkness/Ferocity/Ice)
Glacial Chieftain, The Ice Tyrant
Drozom the Frozen is a deity born from the ferocity and ruthlessness of a mortal warrior whose name alone once struck fear into the hearts of his enemies. A former mountain man from the peaks of Kajinxi, Drozom’s relentless pursuit of power through fear and respect elevated him to a god of conquest, competition, and ferocity. As a deity, he embodies an exaggerated version of his mortal self, wielding far greater power and continuing his obsession with his glory days.
History
In life, Drozom was a warrior unlike any other. His ferocity in battle was so extreme that those who fell under his control believed he was the mortal incarnation of Vroga. Although he was not a giant, his presence and reputation made him seem larger than life. Drozom’s philosophy was simple: to gain power, fear, and respect, one must take them without hesitation or remorse. He viewed every problem as a stubborn log to be split, relentlessly attacking until his opponents crumbled.
Drozom’s path to divinity was forged through blood and terror. His tribe revered him, and his enemies dreaded the mere mention of his name. When his time on the Material Plane came to an end, it did so violently. Drozom died in single combat against one of the most fearsome knights of the Daelands, Būros the Valiant. Although Būros won the battle, Drozom’s fatal blow ensured that his opponent’s victory was short-lived.
Upon his death, Drozom’s soul ascended to the Plane of Ice, where he became a deity. He now rules over this frozen domain, an exaggerated and even more powerful version of the fearsome warrior he once was. His obsession with his glory days persists, driving him to continually seek new conquests and challenges.

Campaign Updates
The hobgoblins of Draazstone pray to him, and the party first heard it done at a graveside. East of the western mountains, at a cairn raised over the Amultan officer Raerin Corvain, a hobgoblin knelt and prayed in G’lin, pouring water over the stones so the winter freeze would take hold and keep the soul solid, rigid, and strong (S2E14). He offered, in the same breath, to burn the corpse of one of the men who had taken them.
It is a burial rite from a people who bury in a hard country. Nobody present recognized the name.
