Clan Salahaudhi

A lesser Mól clan of Haudh-Gwenn, mercantile by the books that mention it, and never one of the empire's nine

STANDING: CLAN · LESSER, OF HAUDH-GWENN

A lesser clan of the Mól, seated in Haudh-Gwenn and, so far as anyone has traced it, seated nowhere else. It was never one of the nine great clans that ruled the empire, and it was obscure enough that Mikhail had met the name only once or twice in all his reading, with the town’s name beside it every time. What the books he had it from said the clan was for was trade.

Its crest shows the two great rivers of Idir running into one at the point the city sits on, and there is one set into the stone of the family hearth. The pieces of it sit slightly out of true, which is the only reason it gets noticed at all; whatever color they were once painted went long ago. The name is carried now by Lady Talia Salahaudhi, who has a different account of what the clan was for than the books do. The house she carries it in is coming down, and Jalal keeps its door.
