Anvil-and-wyvern-horns brand
Hinta's maker's mark: an anvil inside a circle, with horns rising past the ring
Hinta’s mark: a small anvil set inside a circle, with a pair of wyvern horns rising from it at a slant and overreaching the ring on either side. They rise at an angle rather than sweeping out as a bull’s would. The horns are the older half, her clan’s out of Draazstone; the anvil she put to them herself.
It was first seen burned into the leather of a satchel of fine knives belonging to Phil Nye, a set held to carry a little magic in it and worked by his daughter Philomena, who wanted them for her own and had been told no. Koa turned it over and could make nothing of it, having not yet met the smith who put it there. Hinta had been answerable once for Phil’s safety, and blames herself for his death still.
Her stamp goes on what she makes. Koa’s rapier carries it, drawn or sheathed.
