Beast repellent

An alchemist’s vial that is swallowed rather than thrown. What it does is make the drinker repugnant, and it does not wear off quickly: an animal that closes its jaws on him lets go and spits him out again, and most will not close their jaws in the first place.

It cost two gold in Loshev, added at the end of a long morning’s bargaining over bows, arrows and healing potions, and thrown in as part of the deal rather than sought out.
