Bank of Meshtes

A bank in Meshtes that trades with the Haudh-Gwenn bank, and that was storing objects for Beltran Grayeras under serial numbers rather than names

There is a bank in Meshtes, in Yovincia province, that trades with the Haudh-Gwenn bank, which is what made it useful to Beltran Grayeras. He held three notes on it, hidden in the folds of his cloak and found on his body. They were not notes for coin. They were collection orders against stored objects, and the objects are identified on the paper only by serial number, redeemable by an order sent through Haudh-Gwenn or by whoever carries the paper to the vault himself.

One of the three opened the pen where Khudan’s seized hounds were being kept, which is how Beltran had been paying a bugbear who did not want money. Lady Talia Salahaudhi heard about the notes and was not surprised by the city they pointed to: Beltran, she said, “always had connections to Meshtes.” So had the slaving paperwork the company turned up years before him.
