Talesong Conservatory
The Peredhel conservatory in Bardh where Mikhail read for his thesis and his old teacher takes pupils
Talesong is a conservatory in Bardh, in Peredhel, and it is where Mikhail spent a considerable stretch of his life reading for a thesis he has still not handed in. Others of his year have handed theirs in since, and a few of those have been judged good enough to go forward through the whole of the process. Kadero, who taught him, consults for the college rather than teaching in it, and tutors the pupils he chooses to take.
A letter out of the college reached him in Haudh-Gwenn. Freya, an alumna and the Tillermen’s Face, had come back to the place and spent a great deal of time asking after Mikhail, working through his professors and as far up as his old mentor, and had begun telling stories of her own about him. What she wanted out of it his correspondent would put no more strongly than that it looked like an attempt to spoil his name. Lenore, who is of neither the academy nor the university, was lodging with Freya there on the college’s own sufferance.
