Celic

Teller at the Haudh-Gwenn bank, forbidden to name its owners

STANDING: NEUTRAL · TELLER AT THE BANK

A teller at the Haudh-Gwenn bank, and the man across the counter the winter the Valiant Few found their accounts closed. He gave them the wording he had been handed: an order had come in, certain accounts were declared defunct, and they had been folded in and shut. The money had been there. It was not there now. When Koa told him that every depositor in the city with anything to lose would be hearing their money was not safe here, Celic leaned in and dropped his voice, not to threaten but because he was afraid to be saying any of it aloud. Who owned the bank he would not name.

He had all three of them at his window inside a day and felt wretched about every one. Thanked for his honesty, he remembered them opening those accounts together on Edrick’s recommendation, and volunteered, unasked, that Edrick’s account had been closed as well. Then he concluded their business and wished them a fine day.
