Orsugo
Feared fire half-orc brigand; leader of the Burning Blood; called "Krelene's Vengeance."
Rumored to stand ten feet tall with “fire for skin,” Orsugo is a self-taught, untrained fire-mage who burned his way east-to-west across the border townships. He is named for a god. Krelene is the Burning Desire, whose portfolio is love and lust and hate and wrath, and what Orsugo is called is Krelene’s Fury, or Krelene’s Vengeance, depending on who is saying it. Whether he answers to her or was simply given her name by frightened people was never discovered.
His company is the Burning Blood.
His gnolls burned Ridh off the map. Riding out of the ashes, Koa squinted through the heat shimmer and found a mass sitting east of the village, too large for a raiding party and with no tents in it; Jaden, beside him, said plainly that Orsugo was right there and had just taken Ridh off the map. Neither of them went to look, and nothing since has confirmed that the mass was his tribe or that he was standing in it. Koa turned his back on it and gave his reason: “Orsugo is a problem for another day. He’s a problem for Idir right now. What we’re working on is a problem for Idir forever.” Asked later what the company was for now that the curse was broken, Koa listed him again, and the fires with him, among the business still outstanding.
“Ten feet tall if he's an inch, and fire for skin. I saw the wagon canvas catch from three paces off him.”
“A large half-orc with old burn scarring. The rest is firelight and fear.” The accounts do not agree.
