Races of Erôth

The peoples of Erôth, from the commonly met to the merely rumored, the bloodlines beside them, and the beasts and growing things among them

The world of Aurôrum has on its surface many continents. Across these continents are countless races that struggle to find their place in history. Perhaps the continent that has the greatest struggles in the past few centuries is the continent of Erôth. He were are going to explore the races of Erôth, from the most common to the most legendary, and all their various features.

Choosing a Race

Humans are the most numerous people of Aurôrum, and they live and work alongside hobgoblins, orcs, gnomes and a myriad of other peoples besides. Not all of them take to the road.

Humans, peren and hobgoblins are the peoples that most often produce adventurers, and they make up the bulk of the companies one meets on a road. Gnomes, hafuwë and námomycin are met with less often. The Terrane, who keep to the deep places, and the sil, who are hunted by their gnomish cousins, are the rarest of all to be found abroad.

A Note about ‘Racial Tensions’ of Erôth

Erôth keeps almost no racial tension of the old kind. There are tensions in plenty, but they run between nations and between cultures; no ancient feud obliges one people to make war on another for the blood in its veins.

The exception: the Sil, a gnome subrace the gnomes made by accident, and whom the gnomes hold to be an abomination that ought to be removed.

Playable Races

Listed here are the peoples one is likeliest to meet abroad, and the regions they most often come from, set down in order of their density of population on the continent.
