Sil
A gnome subrace the gnomes made by accident and have hunted ever since, holding Silencio in the north of Taziondale
The Sil are a subrace of gnomes, and the gnomes made them by accident. What the gnomes have made of it since is a hunt: they hold the Sil an abomination that needs to be removed, and they pursue them on that basis. Erôth carries almost no feud of that kind between one people and another, and this is the exception to it. It has left the Sil extremely rare, rare enough that hardly any of them ever takes up an adventuring life. They speak Cànain, which is the gnomes’ own tongue.
Nobody in the company has seen one. What reached them is a name and a region. Professor Ashanti al-Hassan, who was raised in the north of Taziondale, named the Sil as the creatures who took the country now called Silencio and changed it until nobody goes there: corrupting and destructive, in her telling, and taking and warping what they touch. The name itself is what the Arcane Congress calls them, and it is as much as she was ever given. Where they came from she could not say. There are rumors about the origin of them, and she repeated none of them.
