Lifestyles in an Inn
Subsistence:
The absolute minimum for survival. Ie. cot/bedroll in a common room and/or stale bread.
Low:
A meal, perhaps cold, a bed in a common room or in a room with bunks. No locks, worn sheets, etc.
Comfortable
A room with a decent bed, maybe locks, decent food and potential other accommodations.
Fine
Large room with furnishings including a properly dressed bed. Quality meal, maybe other amenities & services.
Extravagant:
The pinnacle of luxury, suitable for the wealthy and powerful.
Lifestyles over an extended period
Subsistence (2.6 SP/year)
Living hand-to-mouth. This is minimal shelter, sometimes even camping in town or just outside it when beds are not available. With this you will occasionally foraging or hunt for food as there isn’t always enough.
Every week you may contract a small sickness, become fatgiue or some other misfortune. You also cannot benefit from Long-Term Care.
Low (26 SP/year)
This more the lifestyle of an average commoner. You are able to maintain shelter, though rough times happen. There will be food on the table, but its not always the most nutritious. You can survive just fine this way as long as there is no extreme weather.
During times of extreme weather, checks or saves may be required. You also cannot benefit from Long-Term Care.
Comfortable (260 SP/year)
This allows for a modest but stable lifestyle. This may be renting simple rooms or staying at decent inns. You can live comfortably without stress.
No extra effects worth noting.
Fine (2,600 SP/year)
This represents the lifestyle of someone wealthy, enjoying luxuries, access to fine clothing, and gourmet food. This may be in a home owned by the person or staying at reputable establishments.
After a week living like this, you gain a +1 Morale bonus to skill checks and saving throws. This lasts 1 day.
This becomes a +2 Morale bonus after 1 month in this lifestyle. This lasts 1d4 days.
Extravagant (26.000 SP/year)
This is truly living in opulence. Suitable for royalty, high-ranking nobility, or very wealthy merchants. Any simple thing needed can be aqured with easy by a servent.
