The better of Beltran's two cloaks, laid back over his body and left in the fire that took the inn
Beltran had two cloaks on him the day he died. One was searched, kept and put to work. The other never left him.
Mikhail had bundled the rest of the effects into the Oubliette, fighting the Wraithblade’s pull the whole time he did it, when he stopped over the corpse and raised a fist for the one punch he never got to throw in the fight. He thought better of it. He looked the cloak over, judged it a good cloak and nothing beyond a good cloak, drew it back across the body and walked out of the burning building.
It was a +6 magic cloak. The Color Stay came down around it and it did not burn. The body was never recovered and never buried: Lady Grayeras asked for her son and was refused, because carrying Beltran Grayeras through those streets that week would have gotten all three of them killed.
It has never been in the party’s hands.
