Beltran's hidden-fold cloak
A fine, warm, hard-wearing cloak with folds stitched into the lining, and three bank writs in one of them
Fine work, warm, hard-wearing, and costly enough to be taken off the body along with everything else. For a day that was all anyone made of it.
Going back through the belongings a second time, looking specifically for anything hidden, Aldo found the lining stitched with concealed folds. Three Bank of Meshtes writs were tucked into one of them, and nothing about the cloak had suggested they were there.
The folds are particular about what they will carry: small things, flat things, a paper that will fold. A dagger is far too much to hide in them. What they will take they hide well, and they add five to the attempt.
It went to Aldo.
Beltran had two cloaks on him when he died, and this is the one that left the building. The other was drawn back over his body and burned with the inn.
