The aged councilman who votes wherever Traxian Grayeras is looking, and was given up for dead by people who never went to look
An aged Hobbin in his late fifties, soft and indulgent, and the most reliable vote the Grayeras have on the council of Haudh-Gwenn. He would smell their farts and call the air sweet.
When the city rose and the Valiant Few sat down to work out which councilors were worth protecting through the night, he came out on the wrong side of the list. He was Beltran’s man, and Aldo said he might forget to stop by that house, and might funnel people toward it instead. Elren Amin went up to the chamber partly to keep his worst habits in check.
Through the first days of the rising he was feared dead, on no evidence beyond the fact that nobody could account for him. He was in fact at the Grayeras estate, announced into the sitting room alongside Asiya Azrak and six drinks deep by the end of the evening. When the council convened on the spot to disband Beltran’s army he said aye, after a look at Traxian, and said it again when Alyphe moved the whole cost of the peace onto the family’s own coffers. Which way he would go was not a question anyone in the room had to ask before they asked for the vote.
