Malaric

A guard of Haudh-Gwenn who gambles above the room and talks above it too

STANDING: NEUTRAL · CITY GUARD

One of Haudh-Gwenn’s guards, and off duty most nights at the rowdy tavern in the guard district where the rest of them drink. Malaric plays at a table running higher than the room can really afford, with silver on it where the other tables have copper, and is known among the others for a loose mouth.

That is what Aldo went in for, wearing the face of an off-duty guardswoman borrowed from Rheem. The table Malaric drinks at spends its evenings running down the lieutenants it serves under, and one of the names that came up was Zarif. Zarif had killed a nobleman’s son, and Beltran Grayeras had buried the story. It cost the company nothing to learn it and rather more to be there: Venros was in the same room that night, watching the watchers, and took note of the stranger.
