Woobrun

The first of Daric’s men to talk, and he talked cheaply. The crew had been hired through Whent at two gold a head to hunt outlaws along the Haudh-Gwenn road, and nobody had told them whose road it was. Woobrun gave up the terms, the hire and the name of the man who paid it about as fast as he was asked, and he did recognize the Valiant Few once he was looking at them.

A fifth man was out scouting when the ambush went in. Woobrun bargained his own keeping against bringing that one back without blood: the crew signaled each other by bird-call, and he offered to return it himself. Aldo learned the call off him first. Woobrun gave it, the scout walked in, said it was the Valiant Few, and put his weapon down.

He answered to Woo. He came over with the rest of the eight.
