Kurru

The Kurru are a race of the Barren Lands, counted with the gnomes, the Hafuwë, the lizardfolk and the orcs among the peoples one meets abroad now and again but not often. Almost nothing else about them was ever written down: not a description, not a custom, not a tongue named as theirs.

They are not the Karruk. That is a culture rather than a people, chiefly orcs, keeping the same desert, and the two names sit near enough in the mouth to be taken for one, which they regularly are. The one Kurru anybody west can name is Verex, the warlord away east in Kijinxi, whom everyone calls the Ashen Orc.
