"Dan" (the song)

A song of Mikhail’s, and the one of his that carries furthest. Amergin Innis had spent months riding around Idir collecting everything anybody could tell him about the Valiant Few, and he arrived knowing the company’s own theme, and knowing “Mama’s Boy” well enough to say where in Haudh-Gwenn it gets sung. He told Mikhail to his face that the theme still does not get quite the attention “Dan” does.

The theme had been built to spread. Amergin put it to him that it had gone further than he could reasonably have hoped, on account of how simply he had written it, an earworm, and Mikhail agreed that this had been the intent. He has not said who Dan is.
