Loshev fire-raids
A winter night of coordinated arson in Loshev, set by hand, by figures nobody could name
Fires went up across Loshev in a single winter night, in several places at once, none of them spread from another. That is what makes it a raid. It was coordinated, it was done in the dark, and by morning parts of the town were ash and several people were dead (S2E22).
What the guard had to work with was a description. Tall. Covered in fur, actual fur and not a cloak of it. A long dog’s or wolf’s face. No torch and no oil: a gesture of the hand, and the building caught.
The town said Orsugo. The company had lately met gnolls in the Valley of Doom who worked fire in a ring, and thought the description fitted them and did not fit an orc at all. Whether Orsugo sent them, armed them, or had only lent his name to a thing done in his manner was never discovered. By daylight the dead had been counted, and Yara had come out of it with a cut face, her axe, and nothing else.
