Prince title rule

Each of Peredhel’s nine provinces elects a prince, and the prince’s official title is not chosen but built: the name of the province with -hîr fixed to the end of it. It holds for all nine seats, without variation.

Because the style is made from the land and not from the family, an election changes the man and leaves the title exactly where it was. Among the nine provinces are Bardh, where Mikhail studied at the university at Durwyn; Yovincia; and Rast, the military province, which even a first-class citizen needs clearance to enter.
